Michael Emmerson

English based children's illustrator Michael Emmerson was Born in 1974, Michael has been drawing pictures ever since he could pick up a Burnt Sienna crayon and scribble all over the new wallpaper. Nowadays, he tends to use pencils, paper, and a Mac to create his children's illustrations.

He lives in the leafy suburbs of Surbiton London, with his lovely wife Alice. When he's not drawing pictures or solving mysteries, he also designs Toys, Videogames and Chocolates. Yum. His favorite illustrations he has created are the ones his friends and family enjoy. He also really likes the "˜Bring a Monster to School' ones.

Michael is inspired by Jim Henson-y and the Ha ha- bonk book which still provides him with excellent jokes in an emergency. He would describe his work as colorful and happy, a bit cartoony and slightly sweet, with delicate parsley and butter sauce (serves 4). Michael uses a good blend of hand-drawn and Photoshop pencils and paints mixed with photo textures that he's collected on his mystery-solving adventures.
