Carlotta Bertelli is an Italian fine-art, portrait and documentary photographer.
Born in Modena in 1988, she moved to Milan at the age of twenty to study photography, where she began her career in fashion.
Over the years, she has lived and worked in Milan, Paris, New York and São Paulo, her work gaining international recognition and appearing in both mainstream and independent publications.
Best known for her poetic and timeless vision, Carlotta’s imagery bridges realism and dream. Her style has naturally carved a distinct niche in the contemporary landscape, leading her to collaborate on special projects and campaigns for luxury fashion houses, boutique hotels, artisanal brands and thoughtful companies.
Beyond commissioned work, she never parts from her film camera, continuously building a personal archive that reflects her deep empathy for humanity and nature. Over the last decade, she has also devoted herself to the craft of darkroom developing and printing, delving into the invisible dialogue of light and time, where the essence of photography resides.
