Derick Gnonlonfoun

Derick Gnonlonfoun is a Beninese-French contemporary visual artist whose practice, Abstract Fulguration, explores identity, belonging, and the layered experience of navigating multiple cultures. Drawing inspiration from the concept of double consciousness, his work synthesizes personal and collective perspectives through vibrant color fields, symbolic motifs, and intricate patterns.

This exploration of layered realities finds a parallel in his professional work as a Legal Tech Policy expert, where he develops frameworks for digital platforms. For Gnonlonfoun, both disciplines require the same essential skill: the discernment of what to illuminate and what to leave in the shadows.
