Natalia started learning art at the age of 12 having had many different teachers during her young years. The very first teacher happened to be Helena Speranskaya and Sergei Titov, two young students of St. Petersborg Academy of Arts at the time. To them she owes a great deal as well. Later on Natalia went to a secondary Art school at St. Petersborg Academy of Arts where socialistic realism was the main "politically correct" idea among the teachers, but fortunately it started dying away at that time in Russia. The artist got her diploma not without trouble. In 1983 Natalia finally finished her final education in art and graduated from Mukhina Applied Arts College with diploma of industrial art designer. This is how the artist's introduction to the world of art was completed. However, Natalia's passion for all these years was painting. Throughout Natalia's 14 years in Copenhagen the subjects of her painting has changed as well.. Earlier the artist used to pay more credit to landscape, but then later on she was fascinated by such subjects as still life, and the genesis of the World. Little by little the artist began experimenting with new techniques, where she used to combine many different materials. Sometimes her interest drifted away from paintings and then she created masks and did some camera works. During the artist's life in Denmark Natalia succeeded to make more than 30 exhibitions at such venues as Carlsberg Museum, The royal library of Copenhagen and many art societies in Denmark including EU's countries as well. On her exhibitions one can easily see a huge developing of the artist's mental world, where dreams and reality meet together.
