Born in Austria with italian roots (1959)
Lives and works in Spain.
My work is somehow tied to poetry, nature and the human condition. It is in abstract expressionism, primitive art and japanese aesthetics where I find inspiration. In drawings and paintings natural rhythms are evoked, entirely based on fragments of my memory after years of close observation of environment. Imagination opens a dialogue between fluid and solid, stillness and movement. Every project usually starts with a careful preparation of support, paint and structure using mixed media of high quality pigments. A form is insinuated in a space, colors move free or are guided in a unique brushstroke, revealing a process in which all decisions are taken spontaneously. There is always a hidden force that drives my work, a kind of inner pulse in order to get close to the invisible and focus on the essence rather than on complexity.
