Born in Tianjin China, Xing is well traveled in both the East and the West; having lived in China, Germany, New York City as well as in Columbus, he immerses himself in cultural multiplicity. His work has appeared in several countries in publications, solo, group and traveling exhibitions. Both private and major museums hold his work. Among his honors is the prestigious International Award for Young Designers arranged by Rosenthal AG in Germany. His art is expressionistic, combining Eastern Chinese traditional calligraphy with Western drawing technique. He is influenced by German expressionism, Willem De Kooning, Jackson Pollock and Franz Kline.
