Marie-Eve Lachance (MEL) is a painter who has been passionate about the visual arts for as long as she can remember. Originally from Beauceville, she grew up in an environment that nurtured her creativity and talent. As a child, her boundless imagination led her to constantly invent, draw, and experiment with new mediums. These early sparks of creation, rooted in play and discovery, still resonate in her work today, fueling an artistic approach deeply connected to the memories and imagination of her childhood. Holding a bachelor’s degree in visual arts from the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQÀM), she discovered abstraction during her studies, a revelation that marked a decisive turning point in her artistic journey.
Now based in Lévis, MEL continues to pursue her practice in her studio. Her works have been exhibited in several galleries and international art fairs, and have also illustrated works of poetry. While she has already established her place in the art world, she continues to expand her presence on the contemporary scene and to push her practice forward. When not in her studio, MEL applies her artistic eye and creativity to her parallel career as a UI designer specializing in digital interfaces.
