SHIPPING AND RETURNS

I have always been fascinated by the use of computer parts within paintings. I also recently enjoy taking photographs of doors in a London neighborhood. This piece combines my usual Fibonacci dimension canvas (34x21) with a CPU from a computer and a door.

American artist Dr. Timothy L. Coomer, PhD paints in the Neo-Plasticism style and finds his inspiration in the work of Piet Mondrian and in the revolutionary theories of Stephen Wolfram where complexity can be generated from simple rules. More recently, Dr Coomer has explored methods and techniques made popular by Jackson Pollock. This has resulted in a new series of paintings that will be available starting late in 2018. Dr Coomer’s work as an artist began as a second career after he had studied a broad set of topics at some of the nation’s top universities. He was recognized for his unique analytical abilities while still in grade school. These abilities were nurtured by various mentors and led to advanced mathematical studies and a double major in Mechanical Engineering and Mathematics from Vanderbilt University. Dr. Coomer went on to receive a Masters in Business Administration in Finance from Vanderbilt University and a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Business with a focus on advanced mathematical modeling and personality modeling to predict job performance. Dr. Coomer has utilized mathematics in several diverse industries – including finance, engineering, software development, actuarial analysis, predictive modeling, ballistic missile defense, and secret level projects for the United States Army. Dr. Coomer has a unique gift of seeing numeric relationships in all things in his environment and in nature. This is difficult to explain to those who do not see the world in this manner – but, Dr. Coomer’s goal is to communicate his perception of analytical relationships through is artwork. Dr. Coomer’s interest in art began as a child when he would see the expression of mathematical concepts in pictures, ideas, physical settings, and the randomness of nature. As a child, his expressions of these unique ideas often did not fit neatly into the formal structure of art within standardized educational intuitions. Therefore, Dr. Coomer put aside his interest in art as a young adult and focused instead on entrepreneurship – always connected with analytics – and in the process achieved financial and personal freedom. Free from any need to satisfy critics, rules, or to meet any financial goals – Dr. Coomer embarked on an intensive self-study of artists that he had been fascinated with for decades.
