Sonia Steidle * 1962
is living in the South of Germany, near Switzerland, Bodensee.

"In her paintings, Sonia Steidle invents a botanical world of her own. Turning stalks, leaves, flowers, fruit and seeds into abstract forms, the artist dwells upon time and trancience. She reveals the essence of plants in her architecturally rigorous shadow pictures, a flowering shrub becomes a symbol of metaphysical yearning for infinity."
