Alejandro Llancafil Vásquez has been interested in visual arts since he was very young, drawing simple doodles like any child of his age. However, around the age of 13, Alejandro began drawing from reference photographs and became influence by academic drawings as well as renowned ilustrators of the 80's amd 90's throughout his high school education. His influences include Da Vinci, Miguelangelo, ilustrators such as Simon Bisley, Frank Frazzeta, and Spanish painters like Diego Velásquez and the Dutch painter Rembrandt, as well as contemporary painters like Antonio Lopez, Jaime Valero, and Javier Arizabalo, among others.
His formal artistic training began during his degree in Visual Arts Education at the University of Concepción, where he received constant methodology and training in drawing and painting. Currently, Alejandro does not consider himself and artist, but rather a draftsman and painter without a fixed theme, as his interests and tastes change over the years. Initially, he was drawn to comics, later developing and interest in realistic painting, digital art, and sculpture.
