Most of my artistic inspiration comes from observing people. I enjoy the challenge of conveying a persons mood by depicting their posture and facial expression. As a realist painter, capturing a persons essence on canvas is my main goal. Two contemporary painters who have influenced my style are Lucian Freud and Odd Nerdrum. I appreciate the bold sense of drama and personality in their portrait and figure painting. I am always looking for new artists and models to influence my artwork.
