Iremsu Hersek

Iremsu Onen Hersek is a multidisciplinary contemporary artist based in Belgrade, Serbia. Born and raised in Ankara, Turkey, her relationship with art began at an early age and developed through formal education in painting, sculpture, fashion, and textile design.

She studied at Ankara Anatolian Fine Arts High School, where she developed her foundations in visual art and participated in group exhibitions and creative projects. She later graduated from TOBB University of Economics and Technology with a degree in Fashion and Textile Design, expanding her practice through the relationship between fine art, fashion, material, and form.

Following her studies, she worked as a fashion editor, an experience that further shaped her visual language and multidisciplinary approach. After moving to Belgrade in 2024, she also began exploring needle felting, developing sculptural works and sharing the technique through workshops.

Today, Hersek brings together painting, drawing, sculpture, fashion, and textile influences in a distinctive contemporary practice.
