Heat Bloom is an ongoing body of paintings made across the west coast of peninsular Malaysia — paintings from Malaysia, not of it. Heat, haze, monsoon and overgrowth, built in layers of acrylic, oil and, in some works, Malaysian clay and earth. Three large works were shown in Untitled at GMBB, Kuala Lumpur (May–June 2025). Collected in the UK, Europe and the United States.
