Ali Sedri
(born 1985 in Bonn, lives and works in Baden-Württemberg)


Is a contemporary painter whose work bridges European modernist influences with the refined visual language of Persian artistic tradition. Trained for several years by the renowned master Mahmoud Farshchian—one of the most influential figures in Persian painting—Sedri developed a practice grounded in symbolism, movement, and emotional clarity.

He studied fine arts in Isfahan at the Isfahan University of Art and at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Firenze. His paintings combine expressive color fields with mythic and symbolic imagery, exploring the tension between dream and reality, repetition and freedom. Carousel figures, unicorns, and contemplative human forms serve as recurring metaphors for transformation and inner motion.

Sedri’s works have been exhibited in galleries in Iran and Germany, and his presence on international art platforms has drawn increasing attention from international curators, who recognize the distinctive fusion of narrative symbolism and contemporary chromatic dynamics in his work. This growing cross-border curatorial interest positions him as an emerging voice within contemporary figurative and symbolic art.
