Liqing Tan

My practice investigates the fragile thresholds between presence and absence, life and memory. Through oil painting, I explore the human body as both vessel and narrative, capturing fleeting gestures, intimate moments, and mythic fragments. Colour and form become tools to examine perception, desire, and mortality, inviting viewers into a space where the everyday and the metaphysical intersect.
