Matjaz Preseren

Born on 17.08.1955 at Postojna, Slovenia


1975 Beginning of study at the International Art Academy - University at Venice in Italy.
After the initial interest for painting and graphic design the first encounter with photography forces him to change the subject.

1978 finishes his studies at Venice.

1986 The beginning of his "Fade away reality" cycle.

After some group exhibitions in the following years he committed himself to the establishing his own photo studio, the opening of which in June 1997 was celebrated with the independent exhibition of his customers' tailored works in the Nova Gorica theatre hall.

Presently he is engaged with the creation of a new cycle entitled "Overlooked views".
