EDUCATION

The painter Avrahami Miro, born in Israel, has over the years developed his own style. He has originally studied directing for the theatre, and has learned painting techniques from various painters, though he got to his present style as a result of extensive autodidactic study.

The online exhibition on this site shows paintings from the period since three decades ago until today.

Solo and Group Exhibitions: Ramat Gan Museum and distinctive Galleries in Israel.

Artist Statement:

Unlike other painters, I began painting out of severe depression which I suffered from, because of a long complicated process of financial crises and divorcing my wife, who went back to her homeland, Germany, and I remain with my two young children, having to raise them on my own.
In this consequences, The only way to handle the situation was to work 14 hours a day.
One morning my mood was terribly bad. In order to find some peace, I found myself running out to a painting shop to buy colors and canvas cloth. I started painting anything was cross to my mind.
I began to paint in every occasion, up to the moment that made me fall of my feet exhausted.
I found that engaging in painting helped me to struggle with my emotional issues, and that is how I got over my severe depression.
After a few years, still considered a new painter, I was already selling a large amount of paintings, not less than other well-known painters.
Time has passed, and I got the courage to send some examples of my works to the main curator of Tel Aviv Museum, Miss Sarah Brighberg- Semel. I offered her
