Dima Shumov

Dima Shumov is a documentary photographer living in Los Angeles. His work focuses on unnoticed moments and fragments of reality that reveal the texture of everyday life.

After more than a decade in commercial and editorial photography, Shumov shifted toward personal documentary projects driven by observation rather than direction. His practice explores quiet irony, accidental order, and the visual balance found in the overlooked details of the urban environment.

Preferring to remain invisible during the process, he captures spontaneous compositions and subtle traces of human presence - images that appear accidental but carry precision and emotional weight.
