RECOGNITION
Julija Jankavs is a Latvian-Ukrainian visual artist based in Riga. She holds a Master's degree from the Lviv National Academy of Arts and a Bachelor's from the Art Academy of Latvia, where she is currently pursuing her Master's studies.
Coming from a rich artistic heritage, Julija grew up inspired by her grandfather, Mykola Bobyk - a legendary porcelain artist whose exquisite works gained an international following. Art has been part of her life for as long as she can remember. For Julija, painting is a way to explore life and give form to inner emotions. She puts a piece of her soul into every canvas, hoping to spark a genuine connection with the viewer.
Since 2021, Julija has been actively showing her work in group exhibitions and gallery projects internationally, including in the US, Switzerland, Ukraine, Latvia, and Poland.
