Upon immigrating to Canada from Ukraine with her young children, Anya's life turned a leaf as her journey began in a new and unknown country and culture. Her art took over as a source of reflection of her experiences, struggles and joys during this difficult time, and over the years had blossomed into a constant optimistic presence.
At their core, Anya's paintings have always reflected personal and very intimate subject matter. Life instances, travels, loves and losses, and most predominantly, family, arrange for a wide pallet of stories that she generously shares with her viewers. Anya has been a professional artist and art teacher for over 25 years and her work has been exhibited in Europe and North America.
