Luis Enrique Pérez (1984) received his Bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences from the Universidad del Noreste (2006). He first began pursuing art photography in October 2009, and presented his first solo exhibition, En Bici [On Bike], at the invitation of the Town Council of Tampico, as part of Fotoseptiembre Tampico 2011. In 2012 his work was presented in Veracruz, Tamaulipas, and Spain. In 2013, his work was selected for the 9th Bienal Puebla de los Ángeles, organized by the Universidad Iberoamericana. Five pieces from the series Escisiones Cartesianas have been selected for the VI Bienal de Artes Visuales de Yucatán (2014). His professional training has included participating in the Clínica de Arte led by Othón Téllez (2011), the Diplomado de Fotografía Contemporánea: Arte y Oficio at the ENAP San Carlos - UNAM (2012), and the Seminario de Fotografía Contemporánea 2013, organized by the Centro de la Imagen in coordination with the Centro de las Artes de San Agustín in Oaxaca. He has participated in workshops with Ana Casas Broda, Armando Cristeto Patiño, Juan Travnic, and Ery Camara, among others.
