RECOGNITION

Bobby Jack Pack Jr. was born and raised in north Texas, and currently resides in Dallas.
Early childhood interest included drawing, mosaics and painting. In his high school years, he found film making and photography, after receiving a 35mm camera from a family friend. He immediately found it to be a fascinating artistic tool. Often getting practice by photographing concerts, cars, and producing stop motion animation.
After college Bobby went to work at Billy Bob's Texas. In 1981 they were just opening their doors for business, and he was working at the on sight photography studio, Frontier Photos. During this time he learned how to handle large groups of people, often drunk, sitting for photos in vintage western attire.
His ability to accurately match color and his keen eye for detail found him employment in the darkroom at photo labs during this time too.
In 1986 he moved to Stockholm, Sweden, and found freelance publication work. After a couple of years Bobby came back to Dallas and landed a bartending gig at a popular live music venue in Deep Ellum. While working here, Bobby was exposed to a limitless pool of talent. So it only seemed natural to make something with it, so, the cable access, low budget, Bobby Jack Pack ...
