Artist's Statement:
Evie is a painter engaged with contemporary concerns of 'scape' - terrestrial and galactic - and the increasing comprehension of the cosmos, combining indexical and erasive brushwork to produce ambiguous, sensual works that evoke the mystery of earth and unknowable places. The works hark back to romantic and expressive painting whilst leaning forward into the advancements of global mapping and space exploration.
