Giada Bianchi

Giada Bianchi is a visual artist and independent researcher whose paintings emerge from the direct observation of places. Her work investigates whether it is possible to encounter reality without reducing it to what we already know, desire or expect.

Her paintings do not represent landscapes or translate personal emotions. They arise from moments in which a place ceases to remain a background and becomes perceptible as a field of relations. Through sustained observation, Bianchi attends to the forms, qualities and phenomena that emerge within this encounter and gradually take shape on the pictorial surface.

Working primarily with acrylic on canvas, she creates autonomous visual spaces in which relational configurations such as coexistence, rhythm, permeability, continuity and transformation become accessible to the gaze without being literally depicted.

Between 2017 and 2023, Bianchi’s work developed primarily through an extensive process of listening to testimonies connected to shared themes and lived experiences.
