Glenn Ashley

Glenn Ashley is a former advertising agency Creative Director and commercial film director. He studied art and design at The University of Texas and won his first art competition in the fourth grade. His storytelling skills and graphic design experience strongly influence his style as a painter.

Glenn has a strong affinity for mid-century design and his paintings show the strong influence of some of the masters of modernism. Creating repetitive patterns, stamping and transferring are common elements characteristics of his work. He enjoys discovering how everyday items like children's small wooden blocks can be painted and pressed into the canvas to form interesting sequential marks and designs.
Originally from Dallas where he worked as a Creative Director for two large advertising agencies, Glenn now lives and paints in Los Angeles.
