Ilona Repkina

My artistic practice is rooted in observation of natural ornaments and intricate patterns, which I transfer onto my canvas with the expressiveness of lines, using both traditional and contemporary techniques.

I admire both the lush tropical exotic plants and sunflowers of the continental climate where I live.

I also enjoy capturing the transience of moments through sketches, using ink, fine liners and watercolor.

I place special emphasis on spiritual practices, which I have been pursuing since I was fifteen.

My artistic philosophy is based on the conviction that art is a powerful tool that fills life with meaning and creates a sense of connection to what is truly significant.

Ilona's main life belief is that all events and especially travel, fill and reveal the personality. The more new things the eyes see and the body perceives, the more a person develops and reveals himself.
