- Spring Rain
‘I stand alone in the middle of spring. The scent of grass and flowers can be felt from all directions. The person I want to be with in this splendor pours down to me as a single blade of grass or a single petal. It’s warm.’


I express the inspiration given by the temperature of the air and the colors of light that exist in nature in my work. I think the result is another connection between me, the viewer, and nature. I mainly choose various materials provided by nature, such as flowers, trees, and lakes. In terms of form, I harmonize the traditional realism method with the impressionist method of expressing light. However, rather than an objective image of the visible world, I want to draw the invisible beauty that I reinterpret from the subject. When I draw a single flower, while looking at, observing, and brushing the tiny flower buds, my thoughts gradually come to me more than the reproduction of each petal, but rather the feeling of looking at it from the side. I began to focus on recording the emotions I felt at that time. How can I capture the faint scent of nature on canvas?
