Louise Williams

Louise Kleinsorge Williams has photographed in the San Francisco Bay Area for over thirty years. Originally inspired by formal nineteenth century portraits in her grandmother's albums, her images often have a dreamy and timeless quality, evoking a sense of the ideal. Until the advent of digital photography, Williams worked in black & white and processed her work in the darkroom, where she custom printed and selenium toned each image. Currently, she works with a digital SLR and Photoshop to create unique images that move beyond the photograph, capturing light and form as an expression of her personal vision.
