Paul Cox

I’m a Melbourne-based artist who works predominately with acrylics and oils.

After working throughout the Middle East and Asia, I am now based in the picturesque Macedon Ranges and enjoy spending most of my time in the studio focusing on traditional art such as portraiture, wildlife, landscapes.

I am very experimental and whilst I have a real passion for realism, surrealism and hyper-realism, I have been working on Figurative Portrait, Abstract/Expressionism Portraiture on very large canvases and am really enjoying the freedom that comes with big loose brushstrokes and palette knives.

I enjoy the challenge that comes with taking on new commissions and working with clients to discuss their ideas and delving into new art forms.

I aim to make my work bold, colourful and often humorous so that when clients take my work into their home it injects a little colour and happiness into their lives.
