This work was inspired by a combination of my interest in menswear and caricatures. The figure seen has styling taken from the 50s; especially the varsity/bomber jacket. I really pushed this character's features, specifically the nose, ears, and the size of the head.

I enjoy drawing and painting just about everything from landscapes to people. My strongest focus includes portraits and of people. I love to capture characters that are unique individuals, each with their own backstory. My inspiration comes from a range of artists of the Golden Era of Illustration, branching to the 1960s. My recent work pulls aspects from the vintage advertisements and the characters that inhabit them. I am captivated by the stylization and the world in which they live. I strive to improve my work to reach the quality and appeal that these artists have achieved through their careers. I have also spent a majority of my life in the outdoors, whether it be camping, hiking, or fishing. I combine my experiences and love of the past into my illustrations; seen through fishermen, outdoorsmen, and dapper gentlemen.
