Sofiia Kharenko is a Ukrainian artist based in Poland, working at the intersection of nature, identity, and migration. Her artistic practice is rooted in personal experience of cultural transition and the search for harmony within changing environments. Rather than focusing on separation, her work explores migration as a process of adaptation and transformation.
Working primarily in watercolor, as well as oil and digital media, Kharenko creates botanical and nature-inspired compositions. Plants in her work function as visual metaphors for resilience, continuity, and quiet growth. Through restrained, realistic forms, she invites viewers to slow down and reflect on their relationship with nature and cultural memory.
Her work is guided by observation, emotional balance, and a belief in the universal language of nature across cultures and borders.
