Sofiya Inger

Born in 1960 in Kirov, Russia. Since 1991 lives in USA. Artist statements are not the easy ones to write, because visual art is not a medium of words.Moreover, when one changes language, soil, and surroundings, all what is left, are colors, and metaphors. Fortunately, they are universal.Painting is my way of communicating with the world, and people in it, no matter the country. I am most interested in inner connections, and emotional dialogue, ties to Nature, and our place in it, matters of the heart, ever so subtle, but nonetheless most powerful forces orchestrating our lives. In my work I seek to find true sorrow, grace and fragility of human heart.
