I grew up beneath the quiet skies of Springfield, Missouri, where four generations of my family have rooted their stories. It’s where I still live today—sharing life’s unfolding chapters with my husband, our wise and independent old coonhound, and a two-year-old basset hound who bursts through our days like a ray of sunshine. We also share our home with an unexpected but cherished guest, my brother-in-law, whose gentle spirit adds its own kind of grace to our lives.

My inspiration blooms from the natural world—the tilt of sunlight through trees, the soulful gaze of dogs, and the quiet beauty hidden in everyday moments. Each brushstroke is my way of capturing these fleeting whispers of wonder before they slip away.

My path has been anything but linear. I began my studies at Missouri Southern as an education major, then spent a year at Missouri State before realizing that life was calling me elsewhere. That calling led me into the world of medicine, first through x-ray school and then into the intricate science of nuclear medicine at the University of Virginia Health Science Center.

However, art has always been the quiet thread running beneath it all. My skills are largely self-taught, shaped by curiosity, long nights with a paintbrush, and the lessons gathered from workshops and online classes along the way.
Each piece I create carries the curiosity that first drew me to science, the awe I feel for the natural world, and the freedom of finding my own way as an artist.”
