Thomas Hodges

Born in London, England, Thomas has lived and travelled extensively throughout the world. Currently he resides between Spain, Italy and the U.K.

Thomas first picked-up a camera around the age of 8 (his Father being a keen amateur photographer). He started working in a professional capacity in 1984, shooting freelance editorial, primarily for the fashion industry. However, photography remained very much a secondary profession until 2004, when Thomas was enticed to resign from his principal profession as a financial engineer and pursue a full-time career as an artist, working primarily with the medium of photography, although of late he has expanded his horizons to include other media, notably mixed-media projects and also sculpture.

Thomas has a unique artistic style, which he terms "Imaginistic", leaving the onlooker to deduct the ultimate conclusion of what his images portray. In December 2006, Thomas established the Art Movement "Imaginism", primarily to accommodate his own artistic style, and in compliment to the poetic movement of the same name.

Although Thomas has a varied portfolio of work, he is inspired by female beauty, capturing the sensuality and sexuality of woman, which remains his principal subject matter. Hi...

MBA and qualified in law. No formal education in the arts.

Hodges has and continues to exhibit his work internationally, including The Italian Cultural Institute, London, the London Underground, The streets of Berlin, the Venice Biennale the Poster Show in New York City, International Art Show in Cannes and Taiwan Photo Fair, etc.
