My medium is the idea - a concept that finds its way into my creative psyche only to appear at the other end dressed in its' own aesthetic finery.

By seeing no delineation between the different art forms, I have always crossed the disciplines of print, music, video, photography, curation, text, sculpture, illustration and design to find the most appropriate outlet for whatever is currently occupying my train of thought.

In all this activity, I walk the thin line between respect and irreverence combining traditional techniques and punk sensibilities with the potential that digital technologies has to offer.

Starting my foray into the world of art education in the leafy suburbs of Birmingham, I moved to Leeds Poly, as it was then known, which at the time had the reputation, according to Patrick Heron, of being the most 'cutting edge art school' in Europe.

Under the tutelage of such luminaries as Jeff Nuttall, Glynn Williams, Geoff Teasdale, John Darling and Sandy Wetherson, I openly embraced the multi media zeitgeist of the time, exploring thematic endeavours in whatever was available - which culminated in my decision to take it upon myself to call myself an artist
