ABOUT
EDUCATION
RECOGNITION

Born in New York in 1950, I always knew I'd be an artist. It was always easy for me to draw just about anything and after many years of drawing, I trained as a Commercial Art student in high school in Detroit.

I studied at Parsons School of Design as a fashion illustrator. Subsequently worked for Womens Wear Daily, Vogue Magazine, Calvin Klein and Polo/Ralph Lauren, to name a few, before shifting to fine art painting. Traveled globally, including locals from France, Australia, Brazil and Japan, for many years, utilizing those settings as inspiration for my paintings. I am also inspired by the "Impressionists" along with Edward Hopper, John singer Sargeant and Klimt. Currently teach art at Parsons School of Design and frequently have solo exhibitions in New York and Marthas Vineyard. The work is represented in private collections in the U.S., Paris, Italy, Brazil and South Africa.

I attended Cass Technical High School in Detroit before going onto Parsons School of Design in New York. After years of working as a fashion illustrator I started having solo exhibits in New York and on Martha's Vineyard, as well as being in group shows in CT, MI, AZ. ,
