A multi award winning artist for the past 30 yrs, she has shown in over a 100 juried art shows in the US and internationally. She was one of 12 selected Washington Women to show her art in China at the Yangzhou Art Museum. A member of American Women Artists, SHA, and past member of PAL, COCA, NWWS, RAL, VP 3yrs,alt President 1 yr.&on Board 14 yrs. for Pacific Gallery Artists.
She was selected to do the Landfill Hubcap Project, sending a large (4’ x5’) 1957 Dodge Lancer Hubcap mixed media art piece to PA. Her project was featured in a 6 mo. exhibition at The Museum of Shenandoah Valley in Winchester, VA over 2k attended the show. It now resides in a permanent collection in Pennsylvania. However, the piece was again selected for a 4 yr exhibition tour in 8 to 10 USA museums starting- 2019 titled Exhibition is : What Color is your Dream?
She stays studio current taking two 5 day workshops per year with the top leading artists and mentors such as Carla O’Connor, Bob Burridge, Bev Jozwiak, Jean Pederson, &Gwen Fox Master Class. Landfill Art Project was selected for a 2-3 yr exhibition tour to about 8-10 museums, primarily in North America, The selected work “ Many a Nights When” is made from a 1957 Dodge Lancer Hubcap into a 4 ft x 5 ft fine art wall hanging which also illuminates and resides in the Ken Marquis Landfillart.org Collection in PA. It’s first showing debuted 2015 at The MSV Museum, Winchester, VA. in the exhibition” The Second Time Around : Hubcaps as Art.”
The 2021 exhibition “What Color is Your Dream?” is through Shirley Howarth of the Humanities Exchange and was a playful learning exhibition for children about recycling and creativity with found objects where 60 selected artists from 22 countries have transformed recycled, discarded, and abandoned hubcaps into unique and unusual works of art. Oversized cards of the artists works were offered for children to play and learn about recycling along with a guide about how the artist made their work.
