Anelo Novantasette

Anelo1997 is a workshop that designs and manufactures iron sculptures, installations, and architecture.

Architectures of pure forms, ferrous structures like diagrams that represent the relationships between men and with space.
Archetypal forms, memories that are structured, become fixed in lattices of cubes and lines and continue to project themselves around, in dialogue with the observer.
The intertwining of forms tell of encounters, relationships, places and wills. Our stories need lines, welded points and meeting fences to be fixed in space, therefore in time, structuring themselves as a multiplication of shapes that follow one another and stop reproducing only when the meaning is grasped and fixed.
Since childhood, we draw lines that run along and off the pages and which in the encounter with a thought, with the Other, close and create a space of relationship where something happens. It’s easy to imagine yourself walking those lines through time and your own memories, stopping in the perfect enclosures where even someone Else has found their meaning in our same time and in our same space.

Since 2011 Anelo1997 have exhibited at art galleries, churches, fairs, industrial archeology sites, public places, cultural centers and museums.
They exhibited in Rome at: Traffic club, Officine Lanificio Pietralata, Cibo Project, C.S. Brancaleone, Lungotevere Campo Capoprati, Casa del Jazz, Casa dell’Architettura, Nero Gallery, SinesteticaExpo, Orsini Chapel.
They also exhibited: at the Geophysical Museum of Rocca di Papa, at the Spazio Espositivo Civico 16 in Pescara, at Palazzo delle arti Beltrani - Unesco site and multipurpose center in Trani, at the Labirinto della Masone by Franco Maria Ricci in Fontanellato (Pr). They took part in art fairs (Paratissima 2016, 2021 and Talent Prize 2022), in competitions (Festival del Tempo curated by Roberta Melasecca with Fondazione Pistoletto ONLUS), in exhibitions and design fairs (Prossimo Futuro at Casa dell'Architettura of Rome by AIAC - Italian Association of Architecture and Criticism; Salone del Mobile di Milano ed. 2022).
They work for theater, designing and creating urban art sets and installations as part of international performing art festivals.
