By using collage, water colour and pencil as a starting point for his landscapes, surprising juxtapositions of plants, trees, animals and other structures are pieced together allowing Lucas to construct his own landscape experiences through the process of painting. Lucas also plays with ideas of seduction and paranoia within his landscapes.
