She was trained traditionally in oils, studying abroad in both Edinburgh, Scotland and Rome and Florence Italy, and receiving a BFA with a concentration in painting. Upon graduating she moved to New York City, where she drew from her personal experiences and the world around her to expound upon her traditional painting knowledge and delve into the world of abstraction, developing her unique abstract mark. Intemann's art often combines a blend of abstraction and figurative elements to evoke deep emotional responses.
