Born in Soave (Verona) in 1975,
In my work I experiment with a personal technique of union between color, water and heat. Water, where the color-matter comes to life, while paper and heat reveal its transformation; a mental and physical tension mixed with an intimate need for connection with the environment.
A continuous artistic research with a constant drive for learning that is expressed through distinct but continuous cycles of works.
The central theme of my investigation is the vital, generating and creative energy that unites man and nature. This is why it is essential for me to relate physically and spiritually with the environment away from the hyper-connected, in order not to loose awareness of myself and empathy with others. I experience a sort of space-time suspension and I become a vehicle to represent the generating energy (like a “Ki”, a vital breath that flows through all things) that connects ancestrally all living beings.
I graduated as a designer at SID in Padua and obtained an MA in Automotive Design at Coventry University (UK) and I followed courses in contemporary art at the Cignaroli Academy in Verona and the Royal College of Art in London. I work for three years at the Bertone Style Center (TO) as an automotive designer, then as a freelance with various companies. In 2006 I joined GSK, where I develop and lead the internal global creative studio. Since 2019 I have been fully dedicated to artistic research.
I participate in group exhibitions, including “30×30” 2018 by the Cignaroli Academy at the Mazziano Institute in Verona and “what’s an image?” 2019 curated by the Royal College of Art at the Dyson Gallery – London and in 2020 I hold my first solo show in my studio atelier in Verona.
