Artist Story
Born 1963 in KaoHsieung, Taiwan, WEI is currently situated in in Taichung, Taiwan.
Wei’s painting style was developed according to the part "Concerning the Spiritual in Art" emphasized by Kandinsky in "Expressionism painting". It belongs to the style characteristics of "Lyrical abstraction".Wei’s works attach importance to the development and exploration of human beings' knowledge in the spiritual field and he believes that art is mainly related to resonance between the audience and the artist.
Wei is good at using meticulous emotional contact, composition, brushstrokes, and colors in painting to stimulate the viewer's mental communication with him.
In most of his works, viewers can perceive the stimulation of this kind of spiritual communication.

1999, WEI’s work "Impact and flow" was exhibited at UENO art museum in Japan and won the first prize.
