Daniela Mihai

I graduated from the National University of Arts in Bucharest and I've been a member since 2010 of the "Union of the Artists from Romania" (painting department). My passion for art led me to experience colors, composition with elements of visual language, all in combination with various techniques. I choose to transpose my art in all its forms on different materials and textures using traditional and unconventional mediums. I experienced the techniques of engraving (dry point, mono type,linocuts,etchings,aquatinta) I built forms in traditional ceramics technique. I played with painting in watercolors on paper, I explored collage, oil painting and acrylic on canvas through different styles and I learned about the Christian spirituality and symbolic colors by painting icons on glass and wood. In my art I always try to transmit the thing that vibrates, and since we can't hear it and we can't touch it, but we can feel it through colors, so I'm trying to express the "emotion". I explore my inner world, my past, my thoughts, creating emotions hidden in compositions built with contrasts and wild colors.
