DW Johnson, a multi-dimensional artist working in photography, painting, and writing, has been creating for over four decades.
Born and raised in Kansas, USA where he lives with his daughter, a large epileptic dog, three cats, and a barnyard of chickens and ducks.
Initially setting out to create fine art photographs in the same style as Ansel Adams. My original work which started over four decades ago has transformed into three distinct areas:
My current black and white photographs are created in the T.O.A.D.S. genre. T.O.A.D.S. is an acronym for transient, obsolete, abandoned, derelict sites. They are images of the remnants of man’s existence on earth.
My newest paintings are an abstract mixture of acrylic and metal foil. Dense in texture, they are often based on Sumi style paintings.
My novels are fantasy fiction. Following in the footsteps of J. R. R. Tolkien and Robert Jordan. I created the acclaimed Iron League Saga and the Darkwater Trilogy.
