Gianluca Baronchelli

Specialized in travel, art and archaeology, Gianluca Baronchelli is an Italian photographer and journalist known for his work with National Geographic Italia, Traveler National Geographic, Bell’Italia, In Viaggio and many more global impact brands and magazines. He’s based in Padova but he feels right at home whenever and wherever he’s travelling.

His photographic projects focus on the concept of genius loci -the spirit and the set of characteristics that make each place unique- in cities intended as additions of spaces, functionality, people and stories.

Among my recent exhibitions, I’m particularly fond of the exhibition “Piranesi prima e dopo” dedicated to modern interpretations of Piranesi works (Pushkin Museum, Moscow, Russia) and the international showcase “Eternal Road” with my archaeological shots exposed (Sremska Mitroviza, Serbia).
