In 2024, inspired by his many years of experience photographing food and the French philosopher Georges Bataille, he will hold a solo exhibition on the themes of food and eros, life and death. He also published a photo book in the same year. He is currently working on the themes of food, eros, life and death as art.
Delicious food is colorful, fresh, and fragrant, and has an allure that appeals to our instincts and makes us want to put it in our mouths. It is the joy of life, the brilliance of life.
On the other hand, taste bad is mainly associated with decay, with the stench of decay, the taste of resignation at the moment of death, and physical sensations such as the smell of decay and vomiting, which are precisely the anxiety of death.
Fresh, colorful vegetables and fruits slowly decay; their once vibrant flesh loses moisture, their discolored skin wrinkles, and mold grows, leaving them unrecognizable as the decay progresses; but the beauty that once existed is presented to us in a different form; the beginning of the end is decaying beauty.
