My childhood was marked by struggles with illness and loss. Due to severe asthma, I spent much of my early years in hospitals, often away from my family. At the age of seven, I lost my father, leaving a profound void in my life. Shortly after, a stepfather entered our lives—a man battling alcoholism who subjected both my mother and me to years of abuse. This period was dominated by constant fear and trauma, which deeply shaped my life until I turned 18.
Although my artistic talent was evident even as a child, the weight of my experiences prevented me from believing in myself. Later, I began expressing my creativity as a carpenter, designing and crafting unique, custom-made furniture that allowed my imagination to flourish.
Three years ago, my mother passed away after a long and grueling battle with cancer. This devastating loss profoundly impacted me, but it was through painting that I discovered a path to healing. For me, art is therapy: every brushstroke brings me closer to processing the past and finding inner peace.
