Magali Lapeyre-Mirande

Magali Lapeyre-Mirande is a self-taught French artist living near Bordeaux. After working for many years exclusively on portraits, she began to combine her passion for nature and animals with that for art.

With her realistic style, she starts from a blank sheet of paper and works only in black and white using graphite and carbon pencils. She pays particular attention to conveying the emotions and qualities of the animal world in order to capture the attention for a longer period of time and thus raise awareness on the subject of the preservation of life in all its forms.
