Patricia Mouzinho

Patricia was born in Portugal but raised in Macau, China.
She started painting 27 years ago as an autodidact.
Her paintings are inspired by the many places she visited in Asia and around the world, not only as a tourist but also as a journalist. Patricia has a blend of different roots (family roots from Portugal India, England, Africa and Spain) and this blend is reflected in her works.
Colorful works that reveal a strong authenticity.
Patricia seems to let small creatures invade her canvas, as if they are inside her head asking to come out to play and show themselves.
Patricia's works show her energy and take your mind on a journey... a journey through a world where reality is sometimes too cruel, too black and white...A journey that needs a childish colorful brushstroke, to make somehow life run smoother.
Her grandfather has painted his whole life and her grandmother was a drawing teacher, maybe they were the door-opener to the magical world of painting.
