I was born and raised in Taiwan and completed my professional training in fine arts, then lived in Paris, France for more than 20 years and engaged in art research at Musee du Louver and Musee d'Orsay. Currently living in New Zealand and engaged in painting creation I once held a solo exhibition at the Auckland War Memorial Museum I have held many solo exhibitions and joint exhibitions in private galleries during my stay in France Won the award of Dr Sun Yat-sen during my stay in Taiwan The second place in the oil painting category of the Art Exhibition and the first place in the New Taipei City Art Exhibition Wei's works have been collected by Metropolitan Private Collection and Tessting French avant-garde clothing designer company I like to use oil painting as the main part and multi-media materials to create together. For me This allows me to express my ideas more freely. I like painting trees, to me trees are like people. There is no way to know in advance when and where or to stop at that corner. We can't choose the environment but what we can choose is to live a mediocre life under limited conditions or to live a wonderful life differently. So those trees represent the infinite vitality of ordinary people in my eyes under limited conditions.
